Shows Page + Other Updates!

Just what the title says. 2 New shows. Click it and check it our!

The other updates are less impressive.
We're going to start writing again, trying to fill out our long-time-coming full-length.

Plans are still developing for recording our split-tape with North Jersey's Unmen - probably Oct/Nov.

Lastly, we're seeing some renewed zeal for updating the website. We're taking back the dot coms for bands. Myspace can shove it!

But not, really, we'll still update the myspace...

Stay tuned for more details.

New video and other updates

So far 2010 has proved to be a year of writing and retooling. Unfortunately we couldn’t make the Midwest Fuckfest this year, but we have a few local shows planned for the summer in the Philadelphia area. We’ve posted a new live video of three songs that will be on Regimes once we are finished agonizing over it and are ready to buckle down for recording. Expect some innovation, but we aren’t straying too far from the direction of the spastic thrashy grindcore we’ve been moving towards over the last five and a half years. We are putting everything we have into making sure this album is decades ahead of anything we have done before, so we aren’t rushing it. Conservatively, we’d like to shoot for no later than the summer of 2011. While we are a DIY band with punk roots, we refuse to crank out 500 songs in a year so we can be on every split Agathocles and Magrudergrind put out. Awesome bands, we just take a while to write!

That being stated, we are in the works of putting together splits with North Jersey thrashers The Unmen and Virginia grinders Three Faces of Eve. They can be expected out sometime over the summer of 2010, more details regarding all that as it comes! Josh will be taking over the majority of the website duties, including the possibility of new designs, more frequent updates, a decent merch page, and more relevant information. Check back more often, because we are moving away from the myspace/facebook/purevolume/blahblahblah bullshit, because its much easier to centralize information here. We would like to see the day return when bands had websites and interested parties checked them out. We are also getting back into the old e-mail game and have a new gmail account (doomsdaymachineschematic@gmail.com) but of course myspace is still a viable source for information for the time being (myspace.com/doomsdaymachineschematic). Keep posted and we’ll keep posting it!

Updates!

We are currently in the process of mixing material for a split 7” and CD with Northern Virginia grindcore bastards Three Faces of Eve. We threw down 5 original songs and an At the Drive-in cover. Expect it out in a couple of months. Until then, we still have a ton of copies of Grind Opening, so you should buy that. We will be playing the Midwest Fuckfest in May and a few dates in Pittsburgh and Ohio. To see all our up coming shows, go to our myspace. We have been writing a lot lately and can assure you the new shit blows the old shit out of the water. We like to play new stuff live, so come hang out with us and hear it. Some pictures were added to the Gallery page, more are around the corner. We may be facing some very interesting changes for 2009, but no more about that until details become concrete. More updates later!

GRIND OPENING AVAIALBLE NOW

Our album, which is a collaboration of some of our previous works and some new material, is available for sale. Please visit our myspace for information on how to order "Grind Opening". Thanks to Bobby at Invasion Recordings for the help and those who have decided to keep an eye on us and our music for the support over the years.

We are currently working on new material for an upcoming album tentatively titled "Technology Will Ruin Us". Long-time doomsday fans will notice some significant changes in both the musical and lyrical aspects of our songs. We are reaching further beyond the elements of extreme music to pull in influences to create an even more accurate portrayal of our vision. nevertheless, we hope you trust in us our ability to offer the fastest, angriest, most vicious music we can create. Stay tuned.

march 29 updates

just a standard update to let you know what's been going on in the doomsday lair...

***GRIND OPENING NEWS***
production on Doomsday's album Grind Opening is rapidly nearing completion. all recording/mixing is complete and we are waiting to hear from our mastering guy before we send it out.  We are currently well within our time frame and are anticipating our projected release date in late May / early June. For those who are uninformed, Grind Opening is a major recording endevour for us and a release that will encompass all of our first three years of a band. It will feature 18 songs and clock in at around 20 minutes in length. Extra-special thanks to  Bobby Maro for the support, enthusiasm, and willingness to take on such a huge project with us, Nick Rotundo at Clay Creek Studio for all his patience, expertise, and humor in dealing with us for dozens of hours at a time, and Pat and Ashley for offering us their home while we were in Delaware.

***DOOMSDAYMACHINESCHEMATIC.COM***
As you can see, the website is alive and kicking, and is updated regularly. The website features an extensive library of websites and links to all known videos of doomsday in action. Reviews and a running discography are also available. Welcome and feel free to roam.

***SHOWS***
our first show after our recording hiatus will be on May 16th at the American Legion Hall in Old Bridge, NJ. Our Record release show will be TBA and followed by extensive tours throughout the summer. Though nothing is confirmed, expect to see us traveling as far south as South Carolina and as far north as Massachusetts. again, updates will be made available as they develop.

Thanks for keeping us in mind. We appreciate your support.

Cheers,

-Joe / Doomsday

Doomsday Studio Footage Released

well, we're done the recording part of our... uhm... recording. next weekend we go  back to Clay Creek Studio in Delaware and begin the grunt-work; the mixing (dun dun DUNNNN!!!!!) part of the recording.  this will involve much sitting around, scowling at waveforms, introspection, head scratching, decision making, finger-pointing, etc etc... basically nothing very interesting. The recording part, was, on the other had, a veritable circus of activity with people coming, going, playing really loud, eating, cursing and so forth. therefore, we have assembled a brief 8-ish minute video of us doing what we do best, playing fast and making girlish, backstabbing remarks at each other. I highly recommend you head over to the ole doomsday homestead and give it a gander if you have the time to spare. it's entertaining, it's enlightening, it's a web video! woooo!!

Thanks to Nick at Clay Creek for being such an awesome engineer and Bobby for the balls of the hardest possible titanium he must have to want to deal with us.

***OTHER NEWS***

- New songs are being written in preparation for our summer assault on the east coast. expect more grim nihilistic blasting grindcore from us.

- Most of the samples used on the songs on Grind Opening are being re-tooled to make them darker, creepier, and generally doomsday-ier

- Our regards go to the Nichol family for the loss of their Micheal. While he was not our closest relation, every time any one of ran into him it was a positive experience. may his spirit live on in all of us.
